Modo is proud to announce that last Monday night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) appointed Derek lam as Accessory Designer of the Year 2007 in its yearly award ceremony, referred to by the media as the “Oscar's of fashion”.
 
Derek Lam was granted the award amongst nominees of the likes of Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, making the importance of this achievement even greater. In addition, the CFDA award attests the increasing importance that accessories are gathering in communicating a fashion designer's statement.
 
Modo designs, manufactures and distributes the Eyewear Collection that is part of the broader Derek Lam Accessory collection. The latest collection is inspired by the vintage design of the American sportswear of the 40s and 50s. Styles are extremely feminine and feature discrete branding and unique, sophisticated details, like the rounded temples, which recall the look and feel of vintage frames.
 
Modo is excited to continue its successful cooperation with Derek Lam and is looking forward to the launch of the next collection.
