Oakley, Inc. (NYSE:OO) today announced its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to an additional $20 million of its common stock in the open market from time to time as market conditions warrant. Since 1996, the company has bought 6,090,700 shares of its common stock for approximately $60.0 million. Subject to market conditions, the company expects to complete in the second quarter of this year the balance of the Board's most recent $20 million repurchase program, which was authorized in September 2002.

"Based on the strength of the Oakley brand and our increasingly broad product assortment, we feel the stock represents an attractive investment opportunity at these levels," commented Chief Executive Officer Jim Jannard.

As of March 9, 2005, there were 67,896,247 shares of Oakley common stock outstanding.
