Greece's second largest city, Thessaloniki is the crossroad between East and West and the economic center for all Balkan nations.
The Exhibition
TIOF (Thessaloniki International Optical Fair) is a national event that will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 21 - 23 September 2007, and offers you the opportunity to exhibit your products and services for Opticians, Optometrists and Ophthalmologists to a large audience.
It is also an opportunity for you to meet potential clients from Europe and Balkan Mediterranean countries, who are attracted to Thessaloniki because of its convenient location in the Southeast European region.
The Education Session
N.G.A.O.O and P.A.O.O the two Greek Associations of Opticians & Optometrists, will arrange during the exhibition days, a scientific meeting including topics concerning optics, optometry and ophthalmology.
Scientists from all countries are invited, to present their work in the scientific session.
The Mission
The objective of the TIOF exhibition is to present, in the best way possible, technologies, products and innovations, and to create opportunities for manufacturers, wholesalers and potential clients from three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa).
The exhibition aims to become a focal point for trade in the Balkan region and a means for reaching cooperation agreements and commercial deals. Our ambition is to establish the exhibition as one of the most important exhibitions in the optical sector, opening new horizons for the manufacturers, as well as the wholesalers and retailers of optical goods in he region of Southeast Europe.
The Venue
The exhibition will be held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre which is located in the city center. The Exhibition Centre covers an area of 180,000 m2 and is also the permanent location for the annual Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), a General Fair of global prestige that is held every September.
The Centre that will host our exhibition is called "Nikolaos Germanos", and operates independently at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, within a 6,000 m2 building complex.
